Easy Install - Step-by-Step Process
Remove the glove box.
Plug in BMW STX Connector and BMW 12 Pin Alarm Port. ** Note if your model has a black female pin wire connect the red wire from alarm harness to this wire, otherwise do nothing at this point.
Connect the valet button to the remote unit for programming.
Connect the BMW STX wire harness to the remote unit.
Mount the remote unit and secure the wiring.
Remove information displays from center console.
Remove one of the knock panels from one of the center units.
Mount LED light in the knock out panel.
Run LED wires to the remote receiver unit behind the front console.
Plug LED terminal into receiver unit.
Under the hood run wires from the siren to the siren plug and connect them.
Mount the siren somewhere in the engine department.
Program remote controls.
Turn ignition on.
Hold down valet button and push button 1 on each remote in turn.
Release the valet button.

Stellar's new BMWVTXR alarm PLUGS INTO YOUR 1992-2002 BMW's FACTORY PORT to protect your ‘ultimate' investment. The BMWVTXR offers complete security with the convenience of Remote Keyless Entry, Remote Start, Secure Code Transmissions, Remote Windows & Convertible Top, and Vehicle Security.
In order to ensure your BMW's protection Stellar's BMWVTX series offers a 2-way pager remote with LCD display. The display shows the status of your BMW up to 10 blocks away (depends on environment). The detailed LCD display will alert you if your BMW alarm is triggered or if a door has been open.
Start Your Engines! Stellar's BMWVTXR offers built in remote start for added conveniences. Units can automatically turn on your AC or heater on hot or cold days. With Tach-Less Installation, there is no need to install a wire to your tachometer. An Anti-Grind feature plus adjustable Crank Time eliminates wear and tear on your starter. Stellar's BMWVTXC offers many features not available on the BMW factory alarm at a fraction of the price. Stellar's BMWVTXR offers remote window and convertible top closing for all BMW's with key operated windows. The BMWVTXC features fully programmable Ignition Locking, which ensures you and your passengers safety and convenience by automatically locking your doors when your car is started, and unlocking them when your ignition is turned off. Stellar's built-in Adjustable Shock Sensor offers Dual Stage Internal Shock Sensing that protects your BMW from any type of theft or tampering, unlike the BMW factory glass sensor, which can only detect breakage of glass.
Another feature you'll find on Stellar's BMWVTX but not on the factory system is Stellar's Ignition and Fuel Kill system that provides an extra layer of security for your BMW. All Stellar Alarms come with an easily accessible Silent Arming option, just press both buttons to arm. The BMWVTX double locking system deadlocks your doors, making them unable to be opened, even from the inside.
For added convenience, the accessory button on the remote can work with all of Stellar's other BMW accessories. Also, in order to ensure top quality, all Stellar products are CAD/CAM designed and backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
